With the sewing pattern for this stunning bata de cola you’ll be ready for your bata de cola class or reign any flamenco stage.
It has 4 ruffles in the front and 6 ruffles in the tail area (ruffle pattern and instructions for ruffle positioning included).
The pattern for this high waist bata de cola skirt is designed for a length of 1.05m from waist to floor (without shoes), with a full length tail of 2m (from waist to tip of the tail).
The best fabric to use for this bata de cola is a firm type of poplin. I usually use the same fabric for skirt and lining. For information about where to buy fabric online check out Flamenco Fabrics Where to Buy Online.
What You’ll Get
- Digital sewing pattern women’s sizes 6-16 (individual files for each size) – Note: NO paper patterns will be shipped!
- Print formats for printing at home (A4 + Letter size paper) and large 1-page size for printing at a print shop (the option I personally prefer – not having to assemble all those pages saves a lot of time and ensures precision)
- Access to the Ruffle Calculator online tool so you can quickly and easily work out how much fabric you need for your ruffles if you don’t want to strictly stick to the pattern.
Don’t forget to check out the Pattern Information page.
