Most flamenco skirts and dresses have ruffles. Most of those ruffles are circular ruffles.

And then there are the situations where I have a certain amount of fabric to work with and want to be sure that the ruffles I make will be enough for what I’m trying to achieve .. before I cut the fabric.
I needed a quick and easy way to figure out how much fabric I need for my ruffles and play around with the variables to make the best use of the material I have.
